EQStarPRO LOSMANDY is an equatorial mount drive upgrade kit designed to automate the control of the equatorial mount. It can be used in stand-alone mode and in a control mode using a computer or mobile device (phone, tablet, etc.)

This kit can be installed on the mounts: LOSMANDY GM8, G11 and their analogues.

This kit is based on the latest, high-performance EQStarPRO controller. Compared to other controllers, the NEW EQStarPRO is faster, more powerful, quieter and smoother!

On a PC, EQStarPro LOSMANDY  kit works with any astronomical programs that support the ASCOM platform. For example, with planetarium Stellarium, Cartes de Ciel, StarCalc and others. Among the programs for astrophotography and guiding, controller EQStarPro LOSMANDY  supports MaximDL, Guidemaster, PHDGuiding and others. When you work with a PC, EQStarPro LOSMANDY  can automatically find sky objects and track them automatically (guiding) during the astro photography with long exposure. Also, when working with a PC, you must install EQMOD ASCOM-application.

EQStarPro LOSMANDY also supports working with the INDI astronomical platform and ZWO ASIAIR Pro.

Controlling the telescope with mobile devices allows you to automatically find sky objects. In the planetarium program at the mobile device either Celestron or SynScan should be chosen as a control of the telescope, as well as a mount – a German equatorial mount. EQStarPro LOSMANDY supports the following mobile applications – SkySafari, Stellarium mobile plus, DSOPlaner and others.

EQStarPro LOSMANDY communicates with a PC via USB or WiFi, and with a mobile device via WiFi.

The variety of platforms, drivers, and applications that EQStarPro LOSMANDY can run on makes it possible to create particularly user-friendly control conditions depending on the tasks.

For example, an astrophotographer typically uses a laptop or PC to search for, aim and direct an object during a long exposure. These features are mainly programs running under Windows. But for a lover of visual astronomy, it is much more convenient to control the mount using a compact mobile device, smartphone or tablet, rather than using a PC or laptop.

EQStarPro LOSMANDY comes with a universal joystick for manual control, which allows you to autonomously control mounting without a computer, smartphone or tablet.
